Italics the cat, he sleeps. It is his greatest pleasure in this life. He wakes, and he eats, and he finds the sunlight, and he lies down and sleeps again.
He is greedy. He does not like to share his sleep. If he sees others thieving sleep, he will punish them. when they wake, he takes with him the dregs of their rest and hoards it away in his black little heart and when the time is right, he dons the mantle of that sleep and travels to dreamland.
The only way to fight him is to be vigilant, and to steal it back.
And so here I am, stealing back the sleep that is rightfully mine.
