Cute little rolled up snack. We made this from a recipe we found on the Jello website→ http://www.joyofjello.com/?p=1085
Making this dessert was like a sweet science experiment. It's the Mosogourmet's summer free research program.
We tried this out using Jelly Ace, the Japanese equivalent to Jello, but it didn't go so well. I wonder why? It's really too bad.
Recipe (For a 2023cm square pan)
1. Ready one and a half cups (50g) of marshmallows. Tear down any large pieces so they are smaller.
2. Lightly grease a square pan with vegetable oil.
3. Add 85g of your favorite Jello flavor into a heatresistant container.
4. Mix in 100cc (100g) water.
5. Heat for one minute in a microwave set to 600w. Remove bowl and stir well making sure jello is dissolved. If necessary, return to microwave for 20 seconds or so to make sure Jello is dissolved and stir again.
6. Keep stirring until the Jello completely dissolves.
7. Mix in the marshmallows.
8. Return to microwave for 2040 seconds on 600w or until marshmallows have just begun to puff.
9. Remove bowl and quickly mix with a whisk, making sure the marshmallows have all melted.
10. Pour the contents into the greased square pan.
11. Refrigerate for 45 to 60 minutes.
12. Roll tightly from one end.
13. Use a string to cut them at your desired thickness.
14. Submit it as your summer research project. Apparently, the difference in weight between the Jello and the marshmallows creates the layering. Right?
