It's not often we have to drill through a wall to rescue a trapped animal...
We were recently called out to rescue a bird from a rather unusual situation. It had flown into a shop and had fallen down behind one of the wall displays! Unfortunately, the unit was securely bolted to the wall and could not be moved. With no other option available and with approval from the store manager, Simon set to work cutting a hole in the unit to free the trapped bird.
Luckily, Craig (one of our volunteers) was able to encourage the bird towards the hole with a pole and Simon was able to contain it safely in a net. After a quick checkup, no injuries were found and the rather annoyed bird was released back to the wild!
